The 5th
Annual Miss Southern Belle Pageant will be done in two parts. Part One is for ages 0-9 years old. Registration begins at 12:30
on August 25, 2012 and the pageant will start at 2:00 p.m. Part Two is for ages 10 and up. Registration begins at 4:00 p.m.
and the pageant will start at 6:00 p.m. Interviews will be from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm and then again from 4:00pm to 5:30 pm.
Miss and
Mrs Divisions: Miss should be 17-25 years old and must not be married, have children or be pregnant and Mrs should be 17-up
and no restrictions apply. Mrs can be married, not married, single mom, divorced, widowed, etc.
Jr., Teen
and Miss divisions will have an interview session with the judges prior to the pageant. Time and place will be announced and/or
given to each contestant at rehearsal or before. Interview suits are not required, but the majority of the contestants will
be wearing either a dress suit or a pant suit.

Entry for
everything is $100.00 if paid by August 14, 2012. EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT IS $75 IF PAID BY July 14, 2012 and includes all
optionals (Older girls saves $50).
There is
a $25.00 sibling discount. Only one person is allowed back stage with the contestant. One person will be allowed to get in
free per contestant. Tickets will be $5.00; children 3 and under will get in free. Tickets will be on sale at the door that
night. Program Books are $5.00 each. Program Books are very nice. They are bound books with a picture of each contestant and
many, many sponsors. Good luck ads are available and the funds given for the good luck ads will go toward the Hospitality
Queen tally.
When paying
application fees, you can mail a check or use paypal. If you use paypal, please add 4% to the payment due to paypal's fees.

PRIZES: Each age division will have a queen, 1st runner-up, 2nd
runner up, best country wear and the optional winners. Queen will receive nice crown, 2 foot trophy, satin embroidered sash,
crowning pin and flower bouquet and lots of nice prizes from our sponsors. 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up
will receive a trophy. Best Country Wear and optionals will receive a trophy. All others will receive a participation trophy.
SCHOLARSHIPS: "Junior" will receive a $75 Cash Award. "Teen" Queen will receive a $100 Cash
Award and "Miss" Ga Southern Belle Queen will receive a $200 Cash Award. This cash award will be given to the Queen at the
end of her rein. Each scholarship queen is required to attend at least two appearances.
FACEBOOK
QUEENS: Cash Awards only will be given to the winners. A picture
(via email) will be placed on my FB profile in the contestants age division. Voting will start on Saturday, August 18, 2012
at 12 noon and will end Friday, August 24, 2012 at 12 noon. This will give each contestant one full week of advertising and
will also help them to raise money for hositality queen if they so choose. The contestant with the most "likes" will win Facebook
Queen for her division. Cash award of $20 to each winner. Winners will be announced during the awards. This will be fun for
contestants and their family and friends.
COUNTRY
WEAR- This is an event to have fun with! Outfits can be off the
rack or custom made. One winner from each age division will win a trophy. Country Wear is optional for the 0-9 years age divisions
and it is mandatory for JR, TEEN and MISS.
PHOTOGENIC- There are two photogenic categories. One Natural and One Glamour. If you are
participating in either of these photogenic categories, I will need them by Thursday, August 23, 2012 so as not to have chaos
at rehearsal. Your photogenic picture can be any size, but please no larger than an 8x10.
PROGRAM PICS
All program pictures must be submitted to via email abfletcher@windstream.net by August
10, 2012.
MISS HOSPITALITY QUEEN
There will
be two Hospitality Queens crowned. The two contestants that sell the most ads will receive a crown and a satin sash. There
will be one queen crowned from the age group of 0-10 years old and one queen crowned for the age group of 11-25 years old.
Money for ads must be turned in by Wednesday, August 22, 2012. There will be runners up in this category. Runners up will
receive a trophy.

Ad Pages: 1 Full Page and ad on back of t-shirt-$200.00; 1 Full Page- $100.00; ½ Page- $50.00; ¼ Page- $30.00; Business Card-
$20.00
GRAND
SUPREME WINNERS - There will be one grand supreme winner for each
pageant. There is no double crowning except where Popularity Princess and Hospitality Winners are concerned. The Grand Supreme
Winners will receive a large crown, a 3 foot tall trophy, silk sash, crown pin, flowers and over $100 worth of prizes. You
must be entered into all categories to be eligible for Supreme.
POPULARITY
PRINCESS- There is no entry fee for this category. There will
be two Popularity Princess winners- one in our 0- 9 divisions and one in our 10- 25 divisions. The winners will receive a
sash and a trophy. Votes are $1.00 and may be turned in at registration or during the pageant. Start collecting your votes
now. These are not done by division.
ON STAGE
INTRODUCTION: The JR-MISS DIVISIONS will have an on stage introduction.
The contestant will need white pants, shorts or capris. The contestant will also wear their pageant t-shirt that will be given
to each contestant at rehearsal. Shoes are optional. The contestant can wear 4 inch heels, flip-flops, sandals, tennis shoes
or no shoes at all. THIS IS NOT JUDGED, SO HAVE FUN.

WALK
You will
enter, walk to X1 and stop for your name and number to be called out; then walk to X2 model and show back of dress, walk to
X3 model, then walk to X4 model; then to X5 and wait again for your name and number to be called out before exiting the stage.
The winners
of the Baby-Little pageant should come back around 7:30pm that night to be introduced at the Jr.-Miss Pageant and stay until
other pageant queens are crowned. A picture of all the queens will be taken after the last pageant for the newspaper. Winners
will be asked to appear at functions in and around Moultrie during their reign. We will have a float in the May Day Parade
in Doerun, Georgia and at the Christmas Parade in Moultrie, Georgia.
REHEARSAL: Practice will be Friday, August 24, 2012. Practice will be at 6pm for the
Baby-Little, if you would like to come practice the walk, drop off your photogenic pictures and pick up your t-shirt. We ask
that all Junior, Teen and Miss contestants come at 6:30pm to learn and practice their introduction dance.
We ask that all Junior, Teen and Miss contestants
attend so they can practice the on stage introduction. If for some reason you cannot make practice, please be sure to let
me know. Again, practice for 0-9 years is NOT mandatory, but you are welcome to come if you would like to practice your walk
from 6:00 - 6:30 only.
RULES
AND REGULATIONS:
1.
Contestant numbers will be assigned in reverse order. First application in
will be last out. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. Contestants
will compete in the age division they are the day of the pageant with a 30 day grace period.
3. The Ga
Southern Belle Scholarship Pageant is open to anyone in the United States.
4. Video
cameras are allowed. Cameras are allowed. We will have a professional photographer backstage and at both sides of the stage
taking action shots of every contestant.
5. Queens
will receive cash award at the end of their reign provided they
have fulfilled their obligations. Each Queen must attend at least 2 events during the year. There are usually four or
more events/appearances each year.
6. Contestants
must not be pregnant or convicted of any crime.
7. Anyone
acting in a disorderly manner or displaying conduct relating to poor sportsmanship will be disqualified without a refund.
8.
No refunds unless the pageant should be canceled.
9. Entry
fees must accompany application.
10. Each
contestant will need to email a photo for the Program Book to abfletcher@windstream.net.
11. Junior,
Teen and Miss will be scored, 30% on a five-minute interview, 10% on personality, 10% on Confidence, 10% on Poise/Grace, 20%
on Beauty, 10% on Personality and 10% on Overall Appearance.
12. Baby,
Teeny, Tiny and Little will be scored on 25% Personality, 25% Beauty, 25% Confidence and 25% Overall Appearance.
13. There
will be a $30.00 fee for all returned checks.
14. Reigning
Ga Southern Belle Pageant queens may enter in next years pageant; however, they will not be entitled to do their final walk
on stage.
15. NO
DRAMA ALLOWED. EVEN ON FACEBOOK. Those creating drama will not be allowed to participate in this pageant or future
pageants.
16.
This is a GLITZ pageant but not a SUPER GLITZ pageant. We have glitz judges. Judges have their own opinions and
are not the opinions of the directors.
